Chapter FourteenA Chapter by Neeeks!
Ingrit laughed as she looked at Amanda who had gone back to looking at the different merchandise displayed before them.
"Well, what's your favorite band here?" Ingrit asked. "Out of these three, Tokio Hotel," Amanda answered. "Muse are alright, but I haven't really listened to them before, and Green Day is definitely cool, but I like their older stuff. The old stuff is the s**t, not like their newer songs." Ingrit nodded in agreement. "Why not get a Tokio Hotel shirt or key chain?" she suggested. "I think I'm going to," Amanda replied. "But I'm going to get something with the entire band on it since I don't have a favorite member, unlike you." Ingrit rolled her eyes as Amanda laughed. "What about you?" she questioned. "Oh, you know, a shirt from each band, any key chains and albums, and maybe a poster or two." Ingrit answered, shrugging as she tried not to smile. "Does that include the five other shirts and hoodies your going to want later?" "...um, not exactly," Ingrit answered. "But I'm sure I'll have enough for all of it." Amanda shook her head. "You sound like me when I went to that Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science..." she commented. Ingrit stuck her tongue out at Amanda as she tried not to smile. "At least the stuff here is pretty cheap," Amanda sighed. "For band merchandise, yeah." Ingrit agreed. The girls made their way to the booth a couple minutes later, making sure they knew exactly what they wanted. Amanda took her money from Ingrit, glad to see that the shirt she was planning on getting was cheaper than she had previously anticipated. It wasn't long before a guy was standing in front of them, smiling. His hair was short and spiked up from too much hair gel, dyed red and blue, his ears gaged, and his pupils red from the contacts he was wearing. He was wearing black Tripp pants, a couple chains hanging from his waist, and a black tee that said, 'I'm the guy your girl thinks about while f*****g you.' "Hey there, I'm Mitch," the guy said with a smile. "What can I get you girls tonight?" Amanda pointed to a Tokio Hotel shirt that was hanging in the far right corner, second from the top. It was a black tee that had each of the band members faces on it. Their faces were a pinkish color, red stripes running between them. The band logo was small and in the middle of the chest in white print, 'Tokio Hotel' after it. "What size would you like?" "Um, a small," Amanda answered. "Please." Ingrit looked at Amanda as Mitch went to grab the shirt. "Wow, you are tiny," Ingrit teased. "You're like...fun-sized." Amanda didn't say anything as she slapped Ingrit, giving her a playful glare. "Well it's true," Ingrit laughed. "Don't make me whoop yo a*s." Amanda smirked, standing on her toes to make herself a little taller. Ingrit laughed and shook her head as she poked Amanda's forehead, causing Amanda to step back, almost losing her balance. She rubbed her forehead as she pouted before adjusting her hat slightly. "That's going to be fifteen dollars, ma'am." Mitch said once he was standing in front of the girls again. Amanda turned and handed him a twenty, smiling as she took the shirt and her change. Mitch turned to Ingrit as Amanda stuffed her change in Ingrit's purse. "Can I get you anything?" "Yeah," Ingrit answered, nodding slightly. "Can I get a-" "It's going to be a long list, trust me." Amanda interrupted with a smile, going quiet when Ingrit halfheartedly glared at her. "Anyway, as I was saying, since this is actually going to be a decent sized list, I'll start with Muse and Green Day," Ingrit continued. "Can I get the black Muse tee that has 'Muse' between the white lines, and the poster over there? The black and white one with the members leaning back on the wall with the band name in the top right corner. A medium for the shirt, please." Mitch nodded and Ingrit finished the first half of her list. "I'd like that Green Day shirt; the black tee with the red, heart-shaped grenade over the band name in white print. The poster of 'Green Day' in black print with the logo, the band members underneath it, and the heart-shaped key chain. And can I also get their bandanna? The black one with the four gray skulls and 'Green Day' going diagonally across the middle?" "A medium for the Green Day shirt as well?" Mitch asked. "Yup!" Ingrit answered, nodding with a smile. Mitch nodded and went to grab the items Ingrit had listed off. He came back a moment later, setting them down on the counter in front of him as he waited for Ingrit to finish her list. Ingrit smiled as she looked the Tokio Hotel merchandise over. "Now for the last half," Amanda commented. "You really get a lot, don't you?" Mitch asked with a laugh. "Yeah," Ingrit answered as she ducked her head slightly. "I spend a lot of money when I go to concerts..." "That's alright," Mitch said with a wave of his hand. "It's a good investment. Now, what else can I get for you?" Ingrit pointed to each Tokio Hotel item as she listed them off. "I'll have those two posters; the one with the band members in black and white together above the individual closeups of them and the one that's a closeup of Bill, the star key chain, the black, fingerless gloves with the band logo on them and the light blue wristband with the band name. Those two tees over there; the one with the band members in gray print with Bill standing in front and the one of Bill looking down while holding his chain necklace, and the Bill Kaulitz hoodie. The black one with white patches." Ingrit finished with a smile. Amanda stared at her, blinking slowly. "What?" Ingrit asked, looking down at the merchandise that sat before her, waiting for the rest of her order to be added to it. "Do you really need another hoodie?" Amanda asked. "I mean, you already have three." "The Taking Back Sunday one doesn't fit me anymore," Ingrit pouted. "I'm rotating between my Linkin Park and Mötley Crüe. I need a new one to throw into the rotation." Amanda simply nodded, not seeing any reason to argue. "Alright," Mitch sighed. "The posters are ten each, the wristband and key chains are five, the bandanna and gloves are ten, the shirts are fifteen, and the hoodie is thirty. That's going to be one-hundred and sixty-five dollars." "Jesus Christ, woman!" Amanda exclaimed. "Did you spend enough?" "At least I didn't go over my budget," Ingrit said as she handed Mitch one-hundred and eighty. "What was the budget?" "Three-hundred." "Three-hundred," Amanda gasped. "Girl, you are impossible." Ingrit simply smiled as she took her change from Mitch. "Is there anything else I can do for you tonight?" he asked. Ingrit was silent for a moment as she thought about what they were going to do with their merchandise during the show. They couldn't take it out to the car because they wouldn't be allowed to come back in, and there was no way she was going to bring the stuff into the mosh pit with her; posters would get ripped and crinkled, smaller things would drop, and people would grab whatever they could get their hands on. Amanda poked Ingrit's side, making her jump and snapping her out of her thoughts. "Um, is there any way we could leave this here, like in a box or something, and grab it on our way out after the show?" she asked. "Sure," Mitch answered. "I'll be right back." Ingrit nodded and looked at the hoodie she had bought, holding it against her to see how it would fit. "You," Amanda sighed. "Are impossible and weird." "Are you telling me that you wouldn't get a Joe Jonas hoodie?" Ingrit asked. "If he ever comes out with one?" "...you know I'd get it." "Point proven." "What point?" Amanda asked. "There was no point to be proven." "Yes, there was. And you proved me right," Ingrit smiled, lightly patting Amanda's head. "Thanks." Amanda opened her mouth to say something but stopped when Mitch came back with an empty box for them. "Here you go," he said. "You can leave your stuff here. Just pick it up before you go or it'll be a waste of money." "Who will be here later that we can ask for it?" Amanda asked. "I'll be here all night, and I won't be forgetting your pretty faces any time soon," Mitch answered with wink. "I'll make sure no one else touches it for you." "Thanks," the girls said with a laugh, putting their new belongings in the box. "No problem." Mitch replied. Once the girls had their belongings in the box, Mitch closed it and had them write their names on it. He put the box off to the side, away from the other boxes of merchandise, before moving on to help another person that was waiting in line. "Come on. Let's go watch the last of the Muse's performance," Ingrit said. "We've already missed a good bit of it." Amanda nodded and linked arms with Ingrit before the two girls turned and headed for the crowd gathered in front of the stage. © 2010 Neeeks!Featured Review
