![]() Chapter TwelveA Chapter by Neeeks!
"You did remember the tickets, right?" Amanda asked, eying Ingrit.
"S**t! I knew I was forgetting something," Ingrit exclaimed before looking at Amanda. "Of course I remembered the tickets! How would I be able to forget them?" "I was just making sure," Amanda replied, holding her hands up. "No need to get all snappy." Ingrit sighed and shook her head, going through her purse. She didn't want to have all her valuable belongings with her, such as her MP3. It was going to be hard enough convincing the staff that she was only going to be taking pictures with her camera, not videotaping, like she did every time she came to the Palladium. "What are you taking in," Ingrit asked. "We can put it all in my purse." "Just my phone and camera," Amanda answered. "And my money." Ingrit looked up and took her friends belongings and put them in her purse alongside her own phone, camera, eyeliner and money. "Just remember, this show is a 'no videotaping allowed' one," Ingrit said. "They're very strict here." "How is it you always come here and get videos of the shows then?" "Shh." Ingrit whispered, holding a finger up to her lips. "They don't know about that. I always tell them I'm just going to take pictures, and where I'm always in the mosh-pit somewhere, there aren't ever any staff members behind me to check my camera." Amanda blinked and stared at Ingrit for a moment before she nodded slowly. "Are going to be recording tonight's show?" she asked. "Of course," Ingrit laughed. "Why wouldn't I?" "Good point." The girls got out of the car, slamming their doors shut. Amanda walked over to Ingrit as she locked the car and put the keys in her purse before she tucked the two concert tickets between her phone and camera, zipping her purse shut. Ingrit and Amanda linked arms and walked over to the end of the line, both smiling. "I can't wait for the doors to open," Amanda whispered. "What time is it?" "It's already ten after six," Ingrit answered. "The doors will be open in about twenty minutes." Amanda nodded as they looked around. More people were getting in line behind them, and the line before them was really long. Both girls had a feeling that they weren't going to be able to get as close to the stage as they had hoped. Not with so many people in front of them. While the girls waited for the doors to open, they used the time to see what kind of crowd the concert had attracted for the night. It was fairly easy to tell who was going with who; everyone was huddled in their own little groups, talking away with each other. There were a few groups of teenage girls, some made up of seven or eight girls and only one adult, while there were more adults than teenagers in other groups. Just about all the younger girls had posters of many colors; gold and silver, pink and purple, red and black, and some that were the simple white with black lettering. All the signs said pretty much the same thing: 'I love you!', the name of a band or band member, and some even contained phone numbers with with the sentence 'Call me!' above or underneath. Ingrit and Amanda shook their heads before looking at each other. They smiled and laughed as they tried to imagine themselves holding those signs. It was a rather hilarious thought, especially to Amanda. "I don't think I'd have the guts to put my real number," Ingrit said. "And I'd feel bad if I put a fake number that actually belonged to someone else..." Amanda nodded in agreement. "That's for sure." she said. People pushed by the girls, some stopping to ask where the end of the line was. When Amanda and Ingrit peered behind them, they saw that the line had reached the end of the street and it was still growing. "Damn," Ingrit muttered. "That's a long line." "Yeah, well, the Muse and Green Day are playing before Tokio Hotel," Amanda commented. "This is going to be a pretty good show." Ingrit nodded and watched as some more guys walked by them. They were dressed in black, their clothing jingling loudly from the chains that seemed to hang from every place possible. They all had the same makeup style: dark and heavy eyeliner, black nails, some with lipstick, and a few of them seemed like they weren't in the best of moods. Ingrit jumped slightly when Amanda suddenly elbowed her in the side and pointed to one of the guys that was walking by. "He reminds me of you in the morning," she commented. Ingrit looked at the guy, silently observing him. His eyes were dull, his hair snarled beyond belief, and his clothing hung loosely from his body. When he walked by, Ingrit's scrunched her nose slightly; all she could smell was alcohol and cigarettes. "Gee, thanks," Ingrit muttered, smacking Amanda's arm. "You know you love me," Amanda laughed, hugging Ingrit. "You're way better than him in the morning." Ingrit was about to say something but stopped when she noticed that people up the street were moving. She grabbed Amanda's shoulder, holding on tightly and pointed, her mouth open slightly. "The line is moving," she stated. "The doors must have opened!" © 2010 Neeeks! |
