Distorted

Distorted

A Poem by C Lee
"

more getting back to writing

"

The face in the mirror
Stares back at me
But I do not recognize her
I don’t want to recognize her
I don’t want to see her
Or hear her
I don’t want to be her
But I am
Her

I hate her
I hate her
I hate her

Maybe if I say it three times aloud
She’ll go away
I wait for a dramatic reaction
I want to crash my brow into
The reflection
But she stops me
Somewhere inside the face
She’s not hopeless
She’s cause for forgiveness
She will learn how to smile again

... you still write. Good piece. Not for the faint. I like it for the feel. Not too harsh, but still felt.

This poem is raw emotion. Beautiful and simplistic. We all have distorted images of ourself, great job :)
