Between a Rock and a Scarred PlaceA Poem by C Leethis is a poem i wrote last year, just getting back into posting - simple words with deep emotion
I am wedged
The moss growing cold
On the slippery side
Of a gray, muted, soaked stone
Growing out of my own orafice
Expecting to find
A way out of my mind
Stuck in that dark place
That scarred place
Where wrong is right
Right is left
And there is no
Turning
Back
No retreating
Competing
With myself
Where tears splash down
Onto puddles of my world
Leading to the stream
Where the rock lies dormant
But the storm remains
