Collect the stars Keep them to yourself Sooner or later Theyll out glow their shelf Lasso the moon Hold it to your heart Eventually threads unravel The glow is from afar Toss a penny into the fountain At twilight make a wish The copper reflection Is a glow you cannot miss Her bronze baby shoes Her grown up diamond tiara Between the moon & stars Her glow keeps getting brighter Samantha Like the waves of the ocean Youve lived the high and low tide Now you set a course As you begin your life The stormy waters await you Testing your strength at sea Dont cast your anchor in haste Let the levies set you free Tread lightly as you encounter The winds raging ahead With an understanding heart Leave your impression in the sand Allow your footprints to dissolve As you go about your way Live each sunrise, sunset Your journey begins today Brianne Like the monarch butterfly Youve changed throughout your life Youve woke with each sunrise At twilight, closed your eyes Your appearance has often changed But never whats inside The storms ahead will come Like the tears you may cry The road ahead may be dusty In the end it will dry Your journey begins today Now spread your wings And fly Brandon A boy becomes a man By the choices he makes Indecisions and perils Achievements Mistakes Each footstep is heavy As the path Dissolves in the sand Yet the journeys worth Each pebble Youve held in your hand Remembrance is an honor Commencement, a gift Now grow in your freedom It means you have lived © 2008 C LeeAuthor's Note
