Poem challenge #23, I'm severly behind...Poem spawned from therapy session today...ironically the challenge was to write a love or anti-love poem. Go figure.

I would love to love

Yet I can’t

I don’t want to love

Yet I crave

I am...preparing

 

Words of wisdom

From an experienced mind

Shared between the threads of tapestry

Sewn into high back chairs

I settle into comfortably

Carved out perforated boxes

Carefully pulled out cotton

Silent waterfalls

And epic stares

Commencing with anticipation

Ending with smiles

I am... preparing

 

A voyage

With no anticipated schedule

White cliffs

With feet firmly planted

This time...

Am I preparing?

...This broken heart wonders
