Mirror, Mirror on the WallA Poem by MariaFor #9 contest.Mirror, Mirror on the wall, tell me, how you came to be? ¨Oh my child, ask me anything but that.¨ Mirror, Mirror on the wall, how come you refuse to not tell? ¨How could you, how dare you?¨ But see, to me, you are nothing more than an object, Yet, you speak. So, I cannot help but wonder, what Magic, was used to create you. Will you not say? ¨Fine, if you insist, long ago, a young prince, full of Wizardry, was forced to leave his home. For magic was prohibited to all. And during his travels, he came upon a merchant, that was selling this Mirror. The Prince loved my color and size and paid the price. After a couple of days, he took me to a place, secret to all, and there, he breathed Life, into me. And I was able to speak, and hear of many things. And so it has been for Eternity, for you see, we ended Loving each other, but In the end, he was unable to change me into human form. Alas, this is my fate, to Live, forevermore, without my Love at my side.¨ Mirror, Mirror on the wall, How you moved me, with such tale. May I ask one more thing of you? ¨Yes, you may...¨ Oh, Mirror, Mirror on the wall, will I ever find my Love?¨ ¨Why, you have already found it, for you see, I was able to revive you, my fine, young Prince.¨
