I Miss You...A Poem by MariaThe only human being that as for now, at least I can say is my sole best friend, is from KY, and he is currently married, but he was one of the messengers God sent my way, and through him I believed.
I miss you, pure and simple.
I miss the tone of your voice, your laugh and sarcasm. I miss the anticipation of waiting on you to call, as I knew, you would make time, just for me. Do you remember, how we met? Through the internet. And the lie, I told, in case you asked... Yet you knew even before I confessed, that I had lied to you, and even after that you never stopped being a friend. I miss your solid words, of Love , Faith and God. I miss, your subtle tone, when sharing of His grace. I miss how you would exclaim, You are worthy of His Love and His forgiveness. Do you remember all the times, I would become bitter, yet you never quit or stopped talking until your mission was complete. I miss your soft tone, whenever you would let me cry, over the phone, and never say a word, until I could cry no more. I miss how you would always act as if we were sitting face to face on a couch, each time we were on the phone. Do you remember the time, you were making your dinner, and never once did you tell me to leave you be? I miss knowing that whenever I was down or angry, I could reach you, without a moments notice, and you never turned me away. I miss your coaching in regards to guys and gals, and how to get a date, and what to never say or do. I miss the times, you would scold me, in a very deep, voice, full of anger, but never once did you complain. I miss how whenever I was facing something dire, at times, you would know to check up on me. Do you remember the time, you let me talk and you never once said a word, and it took me an hour or more to say what I wanted to say, and you still never got tired or hung up on me. I miss that even if by accident the line would go dead, you would never hesitate to call right back and say, I am sorry. I miss you dearly, but I remain grateful, for indeed you lead me right and true into the arms of my Saviour, and you never stopped loving me neither, as a friend. You were my mentor, friend, and brother. At times you would act as a father, in order to set my path straight. You were everything I needed when darkness was trying to consume me, and you lead me straight into the light. I thank you deeply for all you did, and will never stop praying for you and your family, nor stop loving as well.
