VELVET

VELVET

A Poem by Mockingbird

curtains fall upon the twilight of day
obscuring the sun as it retires for the night
magic velvet haze warms the crepuscular sky
shining its splendor among the shadows
where lovers tryst to share a kiss.

This is nice. Short and sweet, like a piece of cake...red maybe.

Could be blue too...wait, wait, wait...it's black...black velvet.

Beautiful! I actually see the color as "neil aranda's" Photo just a little further down in time and a tad bit darker. Good stuff!

Mockingbird - I think the color your describing here is Scarlet . Sometimes it comes with arrays of purplish to velvet and scarlet red. Its amazing you have described it like a drawing curtain... I like your avatar name ~ The Lonely Sparrow.

here it is a hazy shade of winter...in the poem...it is the color of passion.

i like your short pieces...there is much more impact in fewer words.
