My Love, His Drug

My Love, His Drug

A Poem by Isabel
"

Written March 4, 2015.

My baby likes it when I don't play nice with him.

Oh God, he can make anything look holy with that sinner’s grin.

I really fell for a love that was wild like Santa Ana winds.

He too couldn't stay away from what should've never been.

I was his drug and he was my love.

I was Angel Dust and he couldn't get enough.

Powerful confession. I remember the ferocity of the Santa Ana winds. And there is nothing sweeter than shooting pure love into your veins; nothing more painful than the biting withdrawals when the needle comes out and you're left shaking and all alone.
