FriendsA Poem by MercerThis is about helping close friends, and the effects it has on people.I have a friend who has said She would rather be dead Than be in constant dread I have a friend who has said They worry and stress But, only for their friends I have a friend who has said They are anything but gallant And they have no talent They all need a Combatant In their struggle against the world I showed up when they hadn't A clue, just being swirled Just being twirled and whirled I know they need an accelerant An urge to be unfurled None of them seem Apparent They just live in the Real-world We all are descendants Of someone who was hurled Through this life Unexpected outcome Some friends take the knife All they say is “How come I can't be happy” To that I exclaim “Just gotta be scrappy Ready to take a beating” “Just gotta be sappy Ready to be greeting Those who stroll in flashy The ones treating You so crappy.” I scream “Place the blame on the a******s who earned it. Pin the crime on the b******s who commited.” Don't take the fall Don't take the blame You let them crawl Let them bear the shame.” © 2018 MercerReviews
