FearA Poem by MercerThis was written by a close friend of mine, not my work. They shall be called Invader. She is walking down the street and it is silent, Her feet don't make sound, She is afraid of men turning violent. She looks to see if there is anyone around, Her pace quickens as her heart races, Was that a figure and were those faces? She is afraid. She is alone or so she thinks Her fingers grip around a blade ready to strike She is so scared she doesn't even blink Afraid of what is there, which men are unlike. Men don't have to be afraid of the wind. Men don't feel chagrined
