Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Rose

I sat, waiting

waiting for you.

but maybe

just maybe

you'll finally answer my cries.

But since I was waiting here for too long,

I missed that you died.

So I sat longer,

lost deep in my mind,

I feel so confined

how can I escape this lonely oblivion

that you now call home?

last line I read as "that"---
this is pretty straightforward, but quite expressive...

reminds me of how much i miss my folks....
