"BURDEN BEARER, DON'T DIE ON ME"

"BURDEN BEARER, DON'T DIE ON ME"

A Poem by Ken Da Real One
"

about unfortunate situations that we experience in this life and also to let people know that people still commit suicide

"

I know that you're going through a difficult time and your stressed out right now you're depressed right now

you're at the end of your rope and about to loose hope because you can't cope  I can see it in your eyes and I can feel it in my heart

My friend we're not that far apart Im only a phone call away, Im only a text away its like reading a good text I just can't put you away

You don't have to drink yourself into a stoop and you don't have to try and end your life in the coupe I gotta keep my eye on you especially the medicine cabinet because you might try and OD on me

You can lean on me like crutchs or a walker Im used to you being a fast talker, a jester we used to crack jokes like egg yolks

Now you're a shadow of your former self you won't let the sunshine in like Bounce you need to let the sunshine in

Unemployed and no health insurance despite that you need to have endurance what kind of friend would I be if I acted like everything was alright and everything was air tight

Keeping you under close supervision I literaly need X- ray vision but you don't have to walk a mile alone, you don't have to bear this burden alone Im not #23 but Im still in your zone

This piece really touched my heart.
It brings tears to my eyes reading it and thinking about how we all have the responsibility to be there for one another, and in turn we have people that are there for us to make sure that 'we don't have to walk a mile alone'- love this line.
The title is wonderful and pulls you in right away. The pain and desperation of the poem are so clear in the style, it is so honest and beautiful. Thank you! This is truly inspiring.

I love the repetition and fast pace of this. I really enjoyed reading it and feeling that sense of just being there for someone else even if they refuse to see it.
