Play No MoreA Poem by MerancapemanA simple song.
I don't know where to move myself
Unless it's where I'm told It's hard to see how young I am When everything is old No one seems to see just how I struggle with my goals I quit I'm done I'm finished here I play this game no more. I've watched the others play along They seem to find their stride And when they're lost they find their way Like cycles of the tide I wish I may and wish I might, No matter how I've tried I quit I'm done I'm finished here I play this game no more. Sometimes I think I'm better now And stand up tall and true You'd never think a man like me Had ever felt that blue But long before I leave the room I find it's all untrue And all of this is just a game That I will play no more. Through this tinted window pane My pity here to stay I watch and wait for someone there To help me run away But no one there will want to help Someone who cannot play I quit I'm done I'm finished here I play this game no more. There was a time I had the strength To open up the door But now I cannot tell apart The ceiling from the floor And in this darkened prison cell Forgotten what I'm for I quit I'm done I'm finished here I play this game no more. © 2012 Merancapeman |
