Sleep Forever

Sleep Forever

A Poem by Merancapeman
"

A questioned heart is a pained one. When it suffers from experience, there isn't much you can do to heal it without love.

"

Where do I belong

If not with myself?

How can I give strength,

If I can't be as strong?

If I said I was happy

You would know it's a lie

I want to sleep forever

But I don't want to die.

Would somebody come

If I can't save myself?

How can I save many,

If I cannot save some?

If you knew where I was

Would you even try?

I want to sleep forever

But I don't want to die.

I'm tired of being the only lonely one around,

Even though I know that some are worse than I,

I sewed a starlit scene of dreams I pretended to be sound,

Even though I knew they'd plummet from the sky.

Would I lose my life,

If I gave it to you?

Would it cut my soul,

If held like a knife?

Or would you hold it close,

When the end was nigh?

If I slept forever

Would you let me die?

Or would you dream along

And keep me strong

If I sleep forever,

Can you stay by my side?

This is such emotional write here,
It has a wonderful flow to it.
I could imagine it as a song.
Well written
