Sweetest SpringA Poem by MerancapemanI made a simile while thinking of love. I have an image of who she is, but nobody to fill that place. She smiles Like the orange midday Blows the lilly smell And leads the sun away She sees With deep intensity The skies inside her eyes That root inside of me
Oh the fires still seem ablaze And the world still sits and watches for the end of days But when the Spring comes When the sweet dews scent the air And the river trickles gently like Your strands of silky hair All the colors seem alive And the birds sing in the moors I'll see you there, My sweetest Spring, And I'll be yours
She laughs Like a silly child Her mind is locked inside Where her heart is wild She weeps Like a morning spray At the yawn of dawn When nature births the day
Oh the rains will fall in waves And the shields of clothe and metal Take the life away But when the Spring comes When the sweet dews scent the air And the river trickles gently like Your strands of silky hair Where your figure still inspires All the curves of ocean shores I'll see you there, My sweetest Spring, And I'll be yours.
I'll see you there, My sweetest Spring, And I'll be yours.
