A Poem by Meraki

You're a painter of words
My friend
Each one a stroke
That bleeds deeper into its canvas
A surface that can't reflect
It's depth

You're a sculptor
Of thoughts made malleable
How gentle your kneading fingers are
Firm with each caress

Creating masterpieces
Each medium feeling as though
It were a part of the next
You do that so well
A seamless transition of them all

As if you knew
From the first mark of pen
To the final smoothing of stone
Exactly what you would do

Is it so effortless as it seems?
So simple
Placing emotions in with your dialect?

I applaud you
You're among the best
That I have known yet

WORDS!!!
Words are weapons and words are cures. Words turn night to day and dusk to dawn.
Your words, dearest poet, have gifted my soul with more than merchants' jewels or pirates' gold.
"Thank you" could never be enough.

The timing is perfect. At a dark place in my life your poem has brought a much needed glow of joy.

I hope it's not abysmal for much longer.

No worries...it's all just another cycle of life...highs and lows and in between.
