A difference

A difference

A Poem by Meraki

There's a difference

Between anger and frustration

A difference between

Disappointment and hatred

Though somehow

Somehow,

I can't seem to find it now

I'm tired

Tired of feeling weary

Tired of stress,

Tired of the frustration

I encounter on a day to day basis

Without help the strange and friendly faces

Just watching me and asking me

Throwing commands left and right

I'm not a puppet

I'm not a pet

I can't do it

I can't do it

I need help

I need a break please

Just make it end

I'm begging you

Help me please

No

Just

Stop!

I just want it to end.

And it never seems to end, does it? The continuous audible and inaudible cacophony caused by humanity. We only get small moments to breathe: a moment as we sip coffee or tea in the morning; a moment as we're alone in the bathroom; a moment as we slip outside to count stars in the silent sky. Thank you for sharing your words and your pain, dear poet.
