To words

To words

A Poem by Meraki

I don't care much for speaking nowadays
If you see my words
Congrats
You've moved
Or forced me, rather
To words

I'd rather keep those
To myself

~ For Meraki ~
You cannot give us your kisses from afar
And cannot give us your cash from afar
Nor your hand-me-down clothing from afar
But you can give us your words from afar;

Give us your words and deny us not
Lest in your soul they fester and rot
Give us rhyme in play, verse in plot
Give us stacks, reams, all you've got.

Well I doubt it would fester. I'm still writing I'm simply putting them in my book for now.

Understood. Even though you are not posting them, I'm glad you are still writing them.
