Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by Meraki

We laughed and laughed
Until we couldn't breathe
And soon we forgot why we were laughing
So we laughed some more
At our own stupidity

We laughed till tears
Ran down our faces
And our stomachs ached in a good way

When we could laugh no more
We laid down finding comfort
In each others presence
Watching the sky
While we talked about nothing
Sharing chuckles and smiles all the way

Too soon the sky burned a redish-pink
Bringing with it the end of our time together.

I could picture this so clearly
It's the best feeling re-living the good times

I'm glad you could connect with it, it's a bittersweet feeling to relive such times.
