No more

No more

A Poem by Meraki

It's funny
No, quite interesting really
How my words seem to revolve
Around one central idea

Love,

I don't see why not
However, I also don't see why
I've never been one to write such
Poems of love
Much-less think of love
How I wish the word would be
Wiped from existence

So that it may be a feeling
A way of being
Not something to be defined
By meaningless phrases
Thought to delight the senses
And bring about smiles,
Tears of joy, and laughter
Nor remind us of times spent
It shouldn't be a thought in your head

Call me a hypocrite
I don't care but I believe
You should
Feel the memories bubbling in your chest
Caress the wind that plays in your hair
Emanate the warmth
The sun has spent soaking into your skin
Feel the awareness, that sensation
Overwhelming passion
That is unbearable in so many ways
But soothing to your very core
The words that escape your tongue

I...
I do not know what love is, not exactly
I don't know how it should feel
How it should be
There are so many forms
Maybe too man
I pray I never write of it again
That such a word never
Rolls off my tongue
Such a word cannot contain
So many emotions
Feelings
Lives

And yet it seems
It is the only word formidable
Enough to represent an infinite language
