Wisdom

Wisdom

A Poem by Meraki

Occasionally I find
It is the drunkard that
Has more wisdom to offer
Than the scholar
With his head in a book

And every now and again
I gain more wisdom
From silence rather than
A priest who is constantly speaking it.
