Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by Jessica Bailey
"

Just a little poem about my struggle to find what I need.

"

You seem so far away

and on your path I never stay.

Can I  really imagine my life with you

and everything you can do?

Truth is I am scared to take you in

because quitters like me never win.

I am trying so hard to make a move

because I have a lot to prove.

I guess I just want you to know

that I need you so.

And wherever you go…

that you'll  have my heart in tow.

I want you .

I need you .

I can’t keep living without you.

I can taste your quest for happiness in this piece, very honestly, simply spoken truths about the illusive quest for that which MAY seem impossible. The illusive humming bird of Joy. The harder we try to catch it the further it SEEMS to fly, but you are not alone, and depression can lift to let the sun shine back in. Keep writing, keep wanting, keep living and keep loving for even if we love alone it is still love, and still much better than the alternative. ;-)
