HopeA Poem by MenaBridges are burning as I run towards the last one standing.
I see you there, on the other side; lonely. I scream your name, but you can’t hear me. oh, how sad you seem.
You start to turn around, looking back, I don’t have much time left, the fire is starting to spread, The fire is getting to me, I jump; you take my hand, my body hanging from the cliff. I can see the shinning of your tears, I try to reach up but I’m too weak. I call out your name, but it’s as if you can’t hear me, I can only hope that you’ll hold on to me; that you’ll realize I’m there; that my strength will come back, and help me reach you. So hold me, © 2012 Mena |
