Empty Box

Empty Box

A Poem by Memoria

Tough on the outside
Hollow within
Nothing to be seen in an empty box

You can admire it wrapped in pretty paper
You can fill it with presents
Insulate it with foam
But the emptiness inside the box will never truly go

It will always be an empty box
Unnoticed and unknown
