Infatuation of a rose

Infatuation of a rose

A Poem by Memoria
"

It's about lust and desire and trying to hide those feelings when something seems unobtainable. The rose represents the person.

"
The dead rose wilts
Undignified as it reveals all
Hidden colours and messages
Expose as the petals fall

Envious and bitter
Becoming cold
Rotting away gradually
The true nature unfolds

A mark is left
Imprinting a lustful desire
Distinctive and sumptuous
Not forgotten

Leaving a lingering poison
Deadly

Secrets and lies die with the rose
Unseen to most
These will never be found or even disclosed

this piece reminds me a lot of classic poetry, very romance-y, and very beautiful, and very well written.
