She always wanted to feel the rush. She needed to feel the rush. It was the only thing that she felt was real. It was the only thing that made her feel alive. She lived for that feeling. It wasn’t something you could find in everyday life, so she went chasing it. It never seemed to last long enough. She was always on the move, trying to find it. She never thought that she would find that feeling in another person, until she met him. He gave her that feeling and so much more. She felt the rush, and the speed, and the heartbeat. He was an adventure, but adventures always come to an end.
And maybe that was okay. We all need to have our hearts broken at least once in our lives. It’s okay to cry, it doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human. Life is a brutal thing sometimes. Love is even worse. I mean yeah, it can be the best thing in the world, but when it ends it leaves you shattered. But that’s okay, we all fall down, we’re all brought to our knees at some point in our lives, but it’s getting back up that matters. Make sure you always get back up
What a positive ending... The writing starts with so much intensity and leaves a strong and inspiring message for the reader... I agree with you, being broken doesn't mean we are broken pieces, it simply means we are human, it's absolutely Okay feel down in life, like happiness sorrow is another truth of life and we should appreciate it... We must feel it when it comes but we should also move on from it, which is the message of your write... Well done...
Very wise advice in the poetry.
"But that’s okay, we all fall down, we’re all brought to our knees at some point in our lives, but it’s getting back up that matters. Make sure you always get back up"
The above lines are true. Learn from the fall and don't repeat. Thank you Allison for sharing the excellent poetry.
