She Lost Herself

She Lost Herself

A Poem by Allison Faith Melton

Maybe she’s lost, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Maybe she’s broken, but maybe she needed to break in order to find herself. Who are we to tell her who she should be? Let her find herself, understand herself, then see how well she understands others. Sometimes losing yourself isn’t such a bad thing, I mean sometimes it just shows you that you were meant to be a different person than you were before. And when you find yourself again, it will be the most beautiful thing. Don’t let the world tell you who you need to be and don’t hide. Be yourself, and if you lose yourself, find yourself again. Quit being so terrified of losing who you are. Everyone is on different paths, and sometimes those paths change, depending on where you want to go in your life.

You are correct. I changed my life completely four times.
"Quit being so terrified of losing who you are. Everyone is on different paths, and sometimes those paths change, depending on where you want to go in your life. "
The above lines are true. I believe we set our place and path. One right or one wrong decision can lead us to good place or not. Thank you Allison for sharing the excellent poetry.
