The May Lover

The May Lover

A Poem by Melon Choly

I thought I saw him walking down the street

His suit was dark gray, he was impeccably neat

The dark of his hair made me remember its feel

Back to  the night we first met, I remember it still

And like someone in a trance, I froze right then and there

Memories came rushing over me, causing me to stare

At the man now passing by me on the street this hot day

All I know is I remember our time back in May.
