An Autumn Love

My favorite time of year offers us Mother Nature's palette of colors!

My love for you is

As bright as the yellow leaf, colorful in it's vibrancy

Deeply passionate as the blood red leaf

Steadfast as the last green leaf that refuses to drop

Never-ending as the new buds waiting to sprout in spring

The earth comes to a rest, but our love only grows

Merely taking a rest, settling down in peaceful oblivion

Waiting to share before the roaring fire on this chilly autumn night

Nestled as one in a large soft blanket, cocooned in our love

As we share in our silence, sipping hot cocoa and tasting hot kisses

That look in your eyes that promises me more

The embers of the fire may die, but our embers of passion flare bright

As bright as the yellow leaf, colorful in it's vibrancy

And as passionate as the blood red leaf.
