When We Fell Down

When We Fell Down

A Poem by Melody

When we fell down

I was staring in your eyes

Lost in the deepest abyss

Of the deep, mysterious sea;

I felt the climate change

And a new anxiety sprung

From a well that brought relief.

When we fell down

We were lost in love

And knew not how to get back up.

We were holding each other’s

Limbs to each other’s limbs, like a

Forest of willow trees entangled

In a breeze.

When we fell down

We vowed a time

That not be the only time

And held our love between

Our hands, lips, and bodies--

Lost in the feeling of

Falling into each other.

Thank you!
This is so good! and I loved the "holding limbs like forest of willow trees entangled in a breeze" part especially. It says so much without even saying anything. Beautiful.
