It's Time That We Stop

It's started the time that we stop. We stop about the things we say,and do.Because there are somethings you hope for from want, and other things you hope for from need.

"There is nothing better than an empty head,
a clean house,
and sweet sweet reality",
we think.
"There is nothing better than an empty head,

"There is nothing better than an epic party,
a screaming crowd,
and sweet sweet false lies",
we do.

It's started the time that we stop,
we stop and think about the things we say,and do.
There are somethings you hope for out of want,
and other things you hope for out of need.

It's time that we stop and we think.
It's time that we stop and we see.
It's time that we stop and do the things we think.
It's time we stop and do the things the eyes cannot see.
It's time we stop and look at the things that we tragically need.

The world is a selfish place, and it's time that stop.
We stop and think about it.
We stop and observe it.
We stop and fix it the best that we can.
If there is one thing that humanity is neutral in all conflicts,
it's fixing.
We never completely solve the puzzles,
But we always solve it to our best, usually.
Have we ever really thought, that just maybe...
There is an additional piece or two to the jigsaw,
The piece that makes the swing set sturdy.

It's time that we stop and think.
It's time that we stop and we see.
It's time that we stop and do the things we think.
It's time that we stop and do the things the eyes cannot see.
It's time that we stop and look at the things we tragically need.
It's time that we stop and look at things and never back down.
It's time that we stop and finish the things we were born to complete.

Personally, I blame the Government(not just ours, though). They make it all to easy for people to get what they want instantly, so people never have to work for what they need, instead, they get all they want at everyone else's expense. (In other words: Loved the poem!)

Inspirational, we need more people spreading positive messages. My only critique is the length of some of the longer lines throws the flow of just a little bit now and then. Overall good work :)

Thank you. I think..."Inspirational" was the only I was going for though....At this point...I'm getting tired of anything to do with society. It's getting stupider and stupider everyday. I sort of wish the people that control the world would notice that. I have to get my messages (even put in bad rhythm) to those people.
Thank you, though. I always get a lot of people saying I need to fix the longer lines in order to have a good rhythm. So I probably should work on that. Lol.

Interesting write, Melody. It put me in mind with a song from way back in 1967, by Buffalo Springfield called, "For What It's Worth." (And yes, I remember the time with a certain fondness... and despair. My generation actually wished and hoped for "peace and love." ((the hippie movement.))
