Summer SunA Poem by MelodyMakes me dumber than a rock, afraid of the UV rays- you make me paler than a piece of chalk.
Makes me dumber than a rock.
Afraid of too many UV rays- you make me paler than a piece of chalk. I really don't want melanoma. I don't like that sweaty teenage aroma. Might as well put me in a coma, I'd really like to know the touch of a diploma. I fainted last summer, I didn't drink enough water and I wasn't much of dreamer. Pretty much forced to go out, You'll probably burn me- no doubt. No tan, nope- just red, like pimento cheese spread. I'm sure one day you'll make me the new infra-red I question the fact that you've yet to force me to drop dead. Summer sun, go away away, Summer sun, never come back another day. © 2012 MelodyAuthor's Note
