Opinions
A Story by Melody
Can't we just state our damn opinions and not have any snotty and pointless remarks about it?
Journal, This world is getting blown out of proportion more and more everyday. The media is controlling and twisting all words. I'm 14 years old and I'm tired of hearing all the adults in my family spouting about Christianity topics, gay rights, and worst of all....Don't forget the drum-roll and make sure you make it loud....Politics. My family is split into two and there are two sides. It's no longer Mother's side and Father's side, it's the small circle of republicans and the circle of democrats. Are people ever going to realize that politics and gay rights are not the only thing existing in the world. When are people going to realize that not everything revolves around the stock market or money. I can feel a Hunger Games world coming on, and I KNOW I am not the only one. These are my opinions, are people going to insult them to or will people finally get to the idea that not everything has to be insulted. More and more people are holding in there opinions because they're scared half or more to death of being totally thrown out socially. SOCIAL matters is not only what matters....When is society going to get into their damn thick skulls that not everything has to have either a smart or snotty remark? I will never get that ONE part of the world and I personally don't plan to. I'm tired of people wiping the young people off to the side because they think they are superior just because their age is. But there is another thing that majority of people need to get through their thick skulls and it's that's maturity is NOT measured by age. Signed, Melanie. (P.S) I don't mind smart remarks about this, but if somebody makes ONE snotty and pointless remark, I will lash out..

Opinions are not facts.
I just thought I should write what I was ACTUALLY feeling for once. It's been awhile.

I know exactly what you mean. This sums up how I feel perfectly when people think that they own the world just because their age is higher. Yes, some wisdom should come with age, but nowadays it's arrogance, not wisdom. And arrogance is not very wise or clever. Or smart.
And besides, people like us have to stick together. It's the only way to survive in this world, unfortunately. I'm saddened that the world had come to this, that America has come to this. We're supposed to be the free country. We still are, compared to the other countries out there. If our country is like this and we're the free country, how bad might the countries out there be suffering? *sigh* I can only hope all those politicians don't create WW III, or the world might actually end in December, given our new tech. *shivers* It chills me to think about such a thing happening.
Maybe stuff like this is what we need. Maybe it can make people realize the damage that's being done, instead of agreeing with those who supported and created the damage and arguing with those who don't agree with it. Maybe they'll realize that they're taking advantage of so many things that others might not have. In fact, when people care, they are cruelly and negatively branded.
Know why I feel like this? I am a social outcast. I have friends, but others reject me. One even had the nerve to rejec me for no reason whatsoever. Read "The Shadowlanders" to see that part. It was based on my life, unfortunately.
Anyways, please don't hesitate to write more like this and send me read requests for it! I always like to see stuff like this, from the POV of people whose worlds don't revolve around politics. Keep up the great work!
*P.S. I can see why you'd lash out. I would too, if someone made a pointlessly mean remark.*

And as much as I don't want to say it, maybe a WWIII is what we need. I don't think we will ever know what we need until it happens...If it happens.
I shall read "The Shadowlanders". A lot of my poetry is based off from my perspective and not others...Something I need to develop. Lol.
I will try to write more things like this, I don't promise anything. I think the only other piece of writing I have that's at least a little connected to this is "Parents,Daddy, Mother, Children...Just Listen."
Thank you for reading and commenting! I'm glad you could relate!

If there's one good thing about being a social outcast it's that you're alone to do what you want when you want, sort of. Lol. But eventually you get lonely. Lol. So yeah, I get it. ^.^

In fact, nowadays, I actually sometimes crave loneliness. That's how I learned about the Shadowlands, a place where social outcasts are welcomed, just like your group! There's one in every society. Ironic, isn't it?

What is it? I find myself craving loneliness from time to time but not all the time.
I guess that is a tad ironic.
