What would you like

Upon which to feast?

A carrot for a kudo

Alongside suckling beast?

What would you dare

Upon which to feed?

Take with more than your mouth

My hungry, aching need?

What would you pray

Should I wait up this night?

Or the next, or the next,

For your arrival with my light?

What could you possibly say?

What could you possibly do?

To taste, or not to taste?

Such is my thought. Or two.

I think this is about hesitations and self doubts. I remember when I first felt for a girl back in high school. I was scared as hell. A lot of questions reeled inside my head. Quenstions remained unanswered until I gave it a try.

This is an expression of my thoughts and feelings regarding someone I kind of missed my opportunity with. She and I met and dated a bit after a relationship that left me so torn I pushed her away. She and I've remained friends all this time, of which I am grateful. It is only since that I have realized and now have a pretty constant "what if"/"I wish" hanging over my head about it. So this piece is regarding if I had the chance, if she had the chance, would we? And what if we did?
