You Don't Say?

You Don't Say?

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

the only thing I can think to utter Without closing the shutters On my own valve wrenched place

"

07/28/11

My mind's eye gurles and weeps

Some things pulpous and bloody

As I try looking passed the ruddy

Tender splendor of the offender

Who would mend the spent bends

If only she had the heart for it.

In turn I sense my chin raising

As if to face the sun

While stating, as I have had to

To others, the only thing I can think to utter

Without closing the shutters

On my own valve wrenched place

Existing in the space below my face:

"You don't say?"

And then I turn

Trying not to waste

The rest of the day

Or what's left of the taste

Of what came before the gray.

the sharp consonants are divinely popped enhancing the emotive allure of the poetic~ love the flavor of the language you've used so expertly here~
