You said I'd have nothing yet everything.

You didn't say this long.

Then again, I didn't ask -

Was just so glad to hear Your voice.

Had I known I'd become

So manipulated and emasculated

By the hands feeding me

(I dare not bite),

Would I have been so pleased?

I don't know.

I love because I need to love

And sing because I need to sing,

Just how humble is the aim?

This key is too low

Even for me!
