You were not an indiscriminate choice or decision by me,
As I am sure I was not by you.
Honestly, for me, all prior to you were.
But you were not.
Is this why, of all my fortunes,
This time my heart aches so?
Is this why I cannot reason it out to make
Any logical sense?
It's as if we were so compatible you had to go
Become someone else regarding me -
As if a part of you grew to have a distaste for the
Ease between us,
While it was simply what I adored.
I've no doubt a particularly difficult time with such scenarios.
Afterall, I know all too well
Someone can love you and still do you wrong.
For example, and as you know,
My mother says she loves me too.
