Despite at least at times being my gentleman).

I don't need labels -

As I've exposed to you my own fears

In the form of passed poetry.

I do refrain from being more specific

Regarding my negative ego

Except to say

I was afraid not so much of you

Pushing me away

As my inability to

Bear your wall much longer,

Which began to cultivate a horrid sense

That I'd put

Myself

In such a position

As to activate it -

Once again reveling

In the opportunity to berate and chide me

For continuing to feel at all.

So, when you say what you do about

Not wanting a relationship,

Understand I do not believe nor feel

You mean you do not want to be

Connected.

I hear you say

You want freedom to do what you need

To keep yourself first.

This I need also

And brought us where we are in the first place:

No bad place to be.
