I Never Thought

I Never Thought

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

Song

"

05/19/13

With trembling heart

And aching hands

I pick up the phone

To make amends

My breath it shakes

My lungs expand

I manage to breathe

Waiting to hear your voice again

I never thought

In a million years

I never thought

In a thousand tears

I never thought

I'd surpass the fear

I never thought

I never thought

I'd be blessed to hear you laugh

Or even hear you smile

Or glimpse something akin to joy in your eyes

Even as  you sighed

I never thought

In a million years

I never thought

In a thousand tears

I never thought

I'd surpass the fear

I never thought

I never thought

Thank you Maryanne. Wish I had a good way to record so you could hear me play it on my guitar.
