Written as the Lord has allowed me to touch a life. Whether it be for a season or a lifetime, I know without a doubt it is by and with His purpose and reason, and thereby am not ashamed nor regret.

Faith is so often a hidden quality ... one not openly shared. And that, I think, is a sad thing because it shapes so much of who we are. And here you are with an offering of belief ... one wise in its truth and simple in its message ... soft and beautiful in its afterglow.
This is ... again ... thought provoking and exciting work. Bravo!
PS: You might find the book Psalms by Joy Ladin interesting.

I looked it up, and the excerpts I found from it absolutely gave me shivers and chills! Funny too, because I wrote More Than The Sparrow after having been drawn to read Psalms 22. Xo.

I knew there was something comforting familiar with your verse. And out of nowhere I started humming this old hymm. Life is a funny thing, isn't it? xoxo

Your poem seems to speak about how you fully surrender your life over to the Lord and letting him lead you into His divine destiny for your life. Absolute surrender to God is one thing, I guess. And this goes beyond recognizing and acknowledging the reality that we each belong to Him which is not very easy as how we think of it. This piece made me think of the times I seemed to forget. A really nice piece, not emotionally or mentally draining write. And it's nice to be able to read creations like this sometimes when everything else seems so logical.

I do love God. It is easy to look back and see through the perspective of asking "Why?" rather than "Wow, what I have come through, what You have brought me through!" and be uplifted. I know He has His purposes, though most often I can't understand. I do want to be His vessel in a non-forced way. Thereby, I think I must be His vessel in a non-forced way. Xo!

I am always writing, but have not joined a writers' group since The Belle Haven when it was in existence. I loved it and really miss it. So when this site was recommended to me, I couldn't resist.
