Perfect-Oh

Perfect-Oh

A Poem by Romello Simmons

It seem so long ago
You were once mine
But gradually over time
We lost what we had
And it was because of me
Right sailor blue eyes

Remember those days
Fights were so physical...so verbal
It hurt like hell
I let you in and rain your parade on me
Losing myself, my purpose and nothing gain
Because you knew I always felt pain

So beat me...kill me...Destroy my self esteem
I'm nothing more than your worthless prom king
Drinking shampain made me walk sideways
Your words and hatred toward me was forever your tideways
I knew your name...yes I knew your name
But I didn't know guilt trip was your game

I left that toxic wasteland but you wanted me to come back and make your heart clad
But you only loved me when you realized I was all you ever had
