Timeless Hours Go By I wish you were true
everyday I wonder why, how many otheres were there
after 21 years you decided my love for you wasn't good enough
Remembering how you used to call me your Rose
Sweet how you really meant it many years ago
Often asking myself what did I do to make you desire another
From day one you always said you would love me till the end of time
Always believing in you, that was my mistake, you chose another woman
Realizing I Have lost you and your love knowing we can never go back
Because this rose you used to call your is now nothing inside
For you have taken my love and my heart and ripped it from my soul
and thrown it on the ground like a piece of trash you no longer wanted
Now the tears of a rose fall plunging to the ground like rain
You have made my heart feel as if it were made of stone
I have nothing inside anymore
always wondering what I have done wrong to deserve what you have done
But realizing that I wasn't the one who did anything wrong you were
After 21 years how does someone do this to the one they say they love
Perhaps I my never know why you did it all I know is you hurt me to no end
and for that I don't know if I will ever find forgiveness a second time
For now your so called rose has only tears of the rose she once used to be
You were my life at one time and now I am nothing to you
I wonder why I am still here , I hope you enjoy the tears of a rose
You once called your own

Tears of a rose, that is classic, and almost romantic in thought, as the title speaks valumes for what is being projected in your beautiful poem Melissa, putting your heart into each passionate sentence your form
takes on a life of its own, I really liked how you opened with such a great statement like timeless hours,
because it creates a contrast.. your words cut to the heart with truth, as well as a reflective analysis
based on a relationship that wasnt meant to be, at the same time showing how things work out for
the best, to have one's soul taken, but at the same time realizing an are able to take it back, that is
encouraging, Now I see the tears of the rose... beautifully surrendered, thanks for sharing.
Take Care, Mike
this was beautifully written, its full of heartbreak and honesty. You really put your feelings out there for everyone to read, thats one of the reasons it is such a good read!
