Ingot

Ingot

A Poem by Melissa

When you don't know if you can hold on
When you don't know if you can let go
You write down a con
Then you write down a pro

Yeah I've got issues
And one of them is how bad I need you
Every time I see you I want to kiss you
I just wish you would see things from my point of view

When he's everything that you've wanted
When he's everything you're scared of
You feel like you're being haunted
By the one you truly love

He is my weakness
He is my breaking point
He's the one that broke me to pieces

I don't want you in my life
I don't care if I have to put up a fight
You're the poison you suffice
You're the root to every problem when you think you're right

You did nothing but hurt me
So I just looked the other way
But that didn't mean I didn't see
Now I'll live with it every day

Nothing is okay
I try to hide the pain
I never choose to say
That without you, I live in rain.

Nothing shines as bright
Than your headlights from that night
You've got hands like the ocean
I would have given you all my devotion

It's harder than we both thought,
It's easier to fall apart
You've left me here with all these scars
But the hardest part is I'm not in your arms

We're both more hurt than we appear.

This poem, has made me drive back some few years ago. Sometimes we only recieve illusion of love from those we love with all our hearts.
Its sad.
