Another Nightmare

Another Nightmare

A Poem by Melissa Kesead
"

This is part of a poetry book I did called Setting The Furies Free about being the spouse of cancer.

"

Cries heard in the night

A demon’s fury scorned

Angels that have taken flight

Chased by things winged and horned

Desires murmured to sleeping ears

Work toward a watery surface

Lust and greed give way to tears

And bother souls much less

Voices echo without a sound

Tangible to the senses

Like rumbling heard underground

Or wings flapping against fences

Whispers die as the dawn breaks

Eyes blind refuse to see

The sun melts a heart that aches

And sets the furies free
