Have you ever been betrayed by someone you thought was your friend?

It takes a lot to trust someone

To feel safe and secure in their presence

It takes a lot to let go of your fears

Of being hurt or of being manipulated

It takes a lot to forge the bond of friendship

And put your faith in their ability to be there

It only takes one ounce of betrayal to snap that bond

Leaving you gasping like a fish on dry land

Mystified and slightly broken

Not only have I been betrayed by a friend but I have also been the one to betray.
Both sides are very interesting and in the end no one feels good about the situation.
I really like this write. It shows the feeling of being betrayed perfectly.

Trust take a while to build and only a second to destroy... I like this, so short but very powerful in it's raw emotional nature... it brings the point across perfectly.
