Rainy Type Day

Rainy Type Day

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

The rain came down

In fact it poured

So suddenly

I wasn’t bored

No longer did

I mope and pout

I stayed inside

Could not go out

Devise a plan

Was my next move

I had to shimmy

I had to groove

Around the house

I danced a fit

My dog even

Got down with it

I did the hop

I did the shake

I made a dance

Called the earthquake

I did the swim

Some disco too

I even did

The boogaloo

My mom came in

To join the fuss

She did the jerk

And drove the bus

We robot walked

Into the hall

My mom stepped out

To make a call

I watched the rain

Come to a stop

Watoosied then

And did the bop

Talked to my Dad

Had a huddle

He let me go

Jump a puddle

In galoshes

And funny hat

I did like this

And did like that

I splished and splashed

And had my fun

What do you know?

Out came the sun

I ran inside

And told my folks

My Dad and I

We had some cokes

I ate some lunch

Then went to play

What a groovy

Rainy type day

OMG that was highly entertaining... I love a good rainy day myself but your comical take on it had me rolling.

I did the hop
I did the shake
I made a dance
Called the earthquake

I just love that... your funny.
