Don't look back

take a step into the present

the fragile memories hang upon the wall

 

Reach deep into your soul

and find that hidden strength there

and know that I will catch you if you fall

 

Like a baby learning how to walk

or a leopard learning how to stalk

you must move by instinct, not under the gun

and realize that your new life has begun

Don't throw out that old notebook, because if there are other poems as good as this one still in there, then it is a treasure chest. Nicely written with a good possitive message.
