NightmaresA Poem by Melissa KeseadNightmares raging in my head visions of the waking dead terrify me
I lay awake too afraid the things that my mind hath made stay with me
Insomnia creeps through my bones I try to envision ice cream cones to console me
The creaking all throughout the house a tiny, brown, furry mouse scurries by me
The sun rises over the hill and little by little slowly kills what haunts me © 2009 Melissa Kesead |
